Heels clicking lightly along the floor of the bar, Marzia made her way through the crowd, hoping no one would try to grope her. She didn’t know why exactly she was spending her night off at Fangtasia, probably because she didn’t really have much better to do. The only exciting places in this little slice of southern fried Hell were the old bridge clubs and the vampire bars. Might as well go to one she knew.
As she crossed into the bathroom, she could have sworn she heard an odd noise coming from one of the stalls. Great, she thought. No time to touch up makeup than when someone’s getting off in the toilets. Sifting through her purse to make sure she picked up the right lipstick and not one of the dummy knife ones, her brow furrowed, wondering if there was more going on than she originally thought. Of her limited knowledge of vampire law, Marzia knew that public feeding had been banned, but no vampire could be so stupid as to do something like that here. Right?

“They ain’t even alive - and I hardly call them a people, they don’t even act like no people.” Maxine fired back, as the old women looked at Maxine, then back at the other. “Well, I speak for everyone when I say we’re glad ta have you here.” Maxine, decided to change the subject for one and not cause a fight in gods house. Maxine’s face contorted as she stared at the girl.
“Lordy girl, you ain’t been out much have you? The world is no longer safe for us human folk no more - with vampers out and god knows what else, we ain’t even safe to walk down the street no more.” Maxine and the other women leaned to tell the young girl all about them vampers, along with the latest gossip. “Ain’t you never heard of them fang-bangers? Them vampers put a spell on them, to drink their blood and abduct them from their families; like a serial killer.”
“Some of them are never seen ever again, and the ones who do survive aren’t ever the same again.” The girls shook their heads in agreement, as one belinda lou carter, began to dish out the latest gossip. The ministers grand-daughter was caught in that vampire bar over yonder in Shreveport. Everyone gasped, and Maxine made a comment about her suspecting as much; after all she did take after her mama. The mother which left the family for her lover 5 years back, it was a real scandal in Bon Temps.
Marzia sighed heavily, wondering what she had gotten herself into. These women seemed to be interested in nothing but gossip and spreading lies. “I have heard of them, yes. But most people go willingly. You have to have heard the tales about sex with a vampire. Most women will do whatever they can just to try that out at least once in their life. Men, too. Surely you’ve seen the commercials for that ‘V-Longate.’ In fact I think I remember seeing a few men that were in church today going to buy it,” she added with a pointed glance at a couple of the women, hoping Maxine would pick up on it like a fly to honey.
“I’m sure you guys can keep yourselves safe, though. And vampires have strict diets.” I doubt they have a strong taste for Aqua Net and bitter regret, she mentally added. Flipping her hair over her shoulder, she crossed one leg over the other and leaned in. The center of gravity seemed to shift as the other women leaned in as well, as if magnetically pulled toward gossip.
“You know, I’ve been to that vampire bar in Shreveport. It’s not such a bad place. Cleaner than most of the diners around here. I’ve heard whispers, though, that the owner, Eric Northman, has been seen around with a human.” Arching a brow, she let it sink in, her eyes connecting with Maxine’s.

Since only the first four tags work, I’m going to just tag a few of you and then put the URLs of everyone here. Hopefully y’all see it.

I owe two replies, one to gayebekah and one to selflesselena.
No threads on hiatus (as far as I know).
I’m almost done with verse 3 stuff, then I’m moving on to verse five because Elle and Mel have been waiting patiently for five million years. <3
I’m still messing with pages and HTML stuff as well and I’m going to be putting up notifications about changes as they happen and tagging those that are involved.

Slipping into a pair of jeans and t-shirt, Marzia glanced at the clock and realized that she was late. She grabbed her keys and headed out the door, hoping that her host wouldn’t mind her tardiness. It wasn’t long before she pulled up to Godric’s home, her mouth opening in awe at the building he claimed as his residence.
Nervously wringing her hand about her neck, Marzia parked her Jeep and headed to the front door. He had offered to cook her dinner, but how much could a vampire know about human food? Her finger lightly pressed the doorbell, enough for her to hear it go off within the house, her nerves rising with every second.
